Marshall's Burger Jalan Burma

My first try at Marshall Burger just because my friend John insisted on it. So in the end I had to agreed just cause I was hungry too.

There were a few choices on the menu like chicken, fish, beef and pork. We ordered Bacon Special Chicken Thigh and Small Fry.

Bacon Special Chicken Thigh ( RM 13.00 ) set that comes with fries and a canned drink

Small Fry Fish Burger ( RM 8.90 )

They Bacon Special Chicken Thigh is served with a piece of chicken meat, bacon and Marshall's special sauce. The Marshall was kinda sweet but overall it tasted quite nice. While the Small Fry Fish Burger is server with a piece of fish fillet, cheddar cheese and Marshall's special tartar sauce.

It's a nice place to hang out with friends or grab a bite when you are hungry though the location of the shop is kinda hard to find a car park.

China House

I was having a heritage walk around Penang to visit the famous street arts with my friends and we decided to drop by at China House which is around the corner.

The shop was very big and it was quite peaceful early in the morning. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The variety choices of cakes was my favourite. It was not easy to choose what to eat as all of the cakes look delicious.

We ended up ordering 2 pieces of cakes, a breakfast plate and a latte.

Chocolate Date Almond Torte ( RM 12.00 )

Chocolate Orange Butter Cream ( RM 15.00 )

Beef Sausage ( RM 18.00 )

Cafe Latte ( RM 10.00 )

The cakes were very nice as it is sweet. For the Chocolate Date, I can taste the almond and the chocolate was just nice. For the Chocolate Orange, the taste of the orange was just nice which blend in nicely with the chocolate. All the cakes are quite pricey but it is worth a try. The Beef Sausage comes with toast, scramble eggs and tomatoes. Their beef sausage are home-made. I like the scramble eggs cause it is soft and easy to eat. The Cafe Latte was not bad too. It also has a heart shape coffee art on top. It is not the best latte but the smell of the coffee just lightens my day.

China House is a traditional compound of 3 heritage buildings, linked by an open air courtyard.

Now converted into 14 existing spaces with shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries and theater.

Sugar Honey

Since Sugar Honey is just beside Moustache Houze so I decided to go and try out this cafe too. The design outside the cafe is simple and nice. There was quite a competition since the cafes are situated just side by side. But Moustache Houze has more customers compared to Sugar Honey. But I think Sugar Honey is not bad too.

Limited choices of cakes. They sell small, tiny pieces of cakes that cost RM 3.90 per piece and RM 12.00 for 4 pieces.

The shop design also has it own uniqueness. Most of the furniture are made of wood and it has a very different style. They sells waffles, cakes, coffee and non-coffee drinks. They best selling cake is called Carry Me which contains alcohol but I didnt try it cause Im not 18 yet by month :(

Walls decorated with seashells and art plates that makes the cafe look different than others. I personally like the framed seashells. It is very pretty.

Caramel Cappuccino (RM 10.90)

Strawberry Cake (RM 3.90)

Sugar Honey Waffles (RM 14.90)

The Caramel Cappuccino tasted not bad. I like it cause it's not sweet and not too bitter. And it has a bit of caramel smell as they put some caramel on top so when I drank the cappuccino, I tasted a bit of sweetness from the caramel. The strawberry cake is not too sweet for me too and it has cheese in it which makes the cake even better for cheese cake lovers. The sugar honey waffles comes with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and some fruits cut in small pieces like apple, banana, watermelon and longan. The waffles was crunchy and not too hard when you chew but the waffle can be better.

Moustache Houze

Decided to try out Moustache Houze today which is located at Campbell Street. One of the fifty five cafe from my list. It was located in a very nice area. The buildings were old and special in its own way. The unique built is different from all the tall buildings which is rarely seen nowadays in Penang.

The special design of the bookshelf gives a different look to the cafe. As it is the third day of Chinese New Year, it was quite crowded. I was fascinated by the design of the cafe. Due the Chinese New Year, there were extra decorations in the cafe.

There is a variety choices of drinks like coffee, non-coffee and ice blended. They also have different choices of crepe cakes which tasted not bad but I personally prefer Humble Beginning compared to this. The drinks are ok but not really that great.

Chocolate Mint Crepe Cake (RM 10.90)

 Fizzy Berry Longan (RM 10.90)

Passion Fruit Ice Cube Soda (RM 11.90)

 Latte (RM 9.90)

The passion fruit ice cube soda is something new but it was kinda too sweet for me cause the freeze the passion fruit juice into ice cube and drink it with the soda.
