Life is too short to wait: Toys Cafe

After getting my SPM results today, I have decided to chill at a cafe with my friends and also to celebrate that I survived another chapter of life. As you can see, the cafe we went is as named in the tittle of this post - Toys Cafe which is located at Bishop Street.

I think a toy lover will love a place like this as they have a collection of toys. The choices of drinks and cake is limited but it is not a bad place for friends to hang out.

The cafe is peaceful and cooling as the shop is air-conditioned. They also provide free wifi for the customers. The counter was designed simple and nice. A few chairs and table at the side for the customers to enjoy their drinks and cake with friends while admiring the art on the wall which is decorated uniquely.

We ordered 2 drinks and 2 pieces of cake. For the drinks are Vanilla Latte and Chocolate Mint. While the cakes are Pandan Layer Cake and Oreo Crepe Cake.

Chocolate Mint ( RM 9.90 )

Vanilla Latte ( RM 9.90 )

The Vanilla Latte is prepared with espresso, steamed milk and vanilla syrup. I personally love the taste of vanilla so I enjoyed drinking the vanilla latte because I think the amount of espresso, steamed milk and vanilla syrup is mixed nicely. As for the Chocolate Mint which consist of chocolate, fresh milk and mint syrup. I think if they add a bit more of the mint syrup, the drink will taste better. Because the drink was kinda too sweet for me and I can barely taste the mint in the chocolate.

Pandan Layer Cake ( RM 7.90 )

Oreo Crepe Cake ( RM 10.90 )

Both the cake tasted averagely only. I did some search yesterday before I went today on others' blog to see if there's anything that is nice and I read that the Pandan Layer Cake was recommended. The top layer of the Pandan cake is actually jelly. The taste of the Pandan was just nice enough to make your taste buds taste of only pandan. The softness of the sponge cake in the layer cake made the cake taste better than the usual Pandan Layer Cake from Pasar Malam. As for the Oreo Crepe Cake, it was too sweet to my liking. I'd rather they reduce a bit on the sweetness of the cake. Though the overall look of the cake looks pretty and yummy. I can also see each thin layer arranged nicely and neatly one after another.
